What is the purpose of this site?
This website provides you with resources that will help you to build a foundation of knowledge in paediatric patient safety theory and a good understanding of the patient safety reporting and learning system in the UK. It includes key research and reports to help you to identify the areas that are vital for improvement. Learning has been collated from across many organisations and summarised to make it quick to read and easily digestible. The overarching aim is to increase awareness of paediatric patient safety issues and to drive paediatric patient safety improvement activities across the NHS. We want to support training in the fundamentals of CYP patient safety in order to create a safer health care system, to reduce risks created by systems and to develop a robust culture of patient safety. The content address the RCPCH Strategic aims 1 ‘to harness knowledge, data and intelligence to improve the quality of care for children and young people’ & 2 to equip members with the skills and knowledge they need’
Who are we?
